Today and 2 days from now (saturday the 20th) there will be MXC Auditions held on UCF Campus in the 'UCF Mall' between Classroom 1 building, and Health & Public Affairs building. Bring a photocopy of your school ID, and a photo of yourself. Come prepared with a Battle Cry! ex: 'I like big DOGS!!!' or 'Real men don't wear pants!'

Onto the other news! I've been working over the past few weeks on some really creative and imaginative things for the site. ok.. fine only one of them is really creative, but the other ones are still pretty gol-durn cool.
First off I got sendmail working again and permanently, so it will always work and in the process I learned how to completely correct any other problem ever encountered. I won't explain here because it would just bore most of you so much you'll be searching for an ice-pick, but since we are in Florida, you'll just die of heat exhaustion while searching, so I won't explain here. Anyways, what this means is that you can once again submit useless dribble, silly sayings, etc. I can now once again send mailers to all the DaoLAN guests who are registered in the database. I like this feature a lot. But I am glad I finally fixed it because its been broken for the past 2-3 years, with about 2 days worth of functionality.
Secondly, and this is the really cool one, I have created a method for a completely user customizable theme. To try it out, select 'Custom Theme' from the themes list. When the page reloads (with a really ugly solid white/gray theme) a special link will appear under the theme selection pop-up. You can click that link to then customize your new theme. The theme you create will be remembered by your computer for 20 years and will be used any and all times you visit the site in the future. You can easily change this theme at your will at any time, or switch back to a built in theme. Cool thing is, you can even switch BACK to your custom theme after you have been using a built-in one, and it will still be there.
I'll soon add a way for you to save the theme as a preset on the server, so you can load it on other computers, or see what others have done. You can customize many different colors of backgrounds and text, set fonts used be the site, set borders, and even set a background image that can be on your own hard drive, this server or ANY server! In fact, it is SO well written by yours truly that to add a new feature, like for example, the font on the left menu, I only have to add 2 lines of code, one that adds it to the form, and one that tells the browser what to do with that code. Its really really neat, I hope you enjoy it.
